Consultation and Procedure
Clients/patients come to the office for a detailed discussion about the process, outcome, recovery and complications. And after a detailed discussion, fitness for anaesthesia and baseline tests, the procedure is done.
First of all areas of liposuction are marked. Then under sterile conditions in operation theatre procedure is done either under local or general anaesthesia.
Multiple small incisions of about O.5cm are given and with a special small Cannulas infiltration fluid/solution is injected then after 7-10 minutes Liposuction is started of those areas. After finishing the liposuction all areas are checked for symmetry and a final assessment is done then the incision is closed with one fine stitch and the dressing is done.
Postoperative Care and Recovery
The patient can be discharged on the same day or can remain admitted for one day depending on areas of liposuction. Then the patient is advised for bed rest for 2-3 days and after that can walk at home, and the patient is advised to wear a compression garment for good recovery and skin retraction for 6- 8 weeks. Initially, bruising and swelling can occur and bruise is usually settled in 7-10 days and major swelling is settled in 2-3 weeks and internal swelling (oedema) is settled in 2-3 months times and good results are seen in 2-3 months and minor changes in shape can continue developing till 6 months.
